About the Author
Jerry Bonmer — Author, Artist, and Ranger of the Magic Wild
Jerry Bonmer grew up in Pennsylvania, where his summers were spent beneath pine canopies and along hidden creeks in the mountains of the state’s wild heart. A lifelong nature enthusiast, Eagle Scout, Air Force veteran, and now a county park ranger, Jerry draws inspiration from the quiet wisdom of the outdoors.
His Magic Wild children’s series blends imagination with gentle lessons of respect, wonder, and stewardship for the natural world. When he isn’t writing or sketching, Jerry enjoys art, photography, fishing, and spending time at the shore with his wife, Colleen—and sharing every adventure with his Sheepadoodle, Quinne, the official mascot of both Magic Wild and Quinne & Co. Press.
He’s currently at work on Book 2 of the Magic Wild adventures.

Ranger Murphy
Ranger Murphy is the wise and wonderful guide of the Magic Wild. With his ranger hat, gentle smile, and stories tucked in his pocket, he knows every hidden path and glowing clearing. He helps young explorers discover that nature is full of surprises—if you take the time to listen.
Quinne
Quinne is the fluffiest Junior Ranger in the forest—part pup, part wiggle, all heart. She’s an expert at finding fun, chasing bouncing things, and cheering everyone up with her happy tail. When she’s around, the Magic Wild feels a little brighter and a lot more playful.
Young Murphy
Bright-eyed and brave, young Murphy is always ready for an adventure! Whether he’s spotting sparkles in the trees or asking the big questions only kids can think of, he brings energy and curiosity to every step of the journey. The Magic Wild loves explorers like him!
